GMC Dukw-353 Duck

Basically a standard GMC 2.5 ton (2,268 kg) 6 x 6 GMC truck, the amphibious Duck was one of the Allies most useful transport vehicles of the war. Produced in vast numbers (21,147 by mid-1945), the Duck was to be found ferrying cargo to beach heads throughout Europe and the Pacific. The vehicle also played a part in major river crossing operations, most notably that of the Rhine during the final push into Germany at the end of the European War.
