Was this series really as accurate as it seems, or was it full of mistakes and historical errors?

if you read the book band of brothers its a bit more detailed than the program
stephen ambrose talks of when he interviewed major winters and i think lipton
they had arguments about certain events that happend at certain times because each rememberd different things happening at different times not much between them i think
ambrose would go away and check records to see if they where exact or not
ambrose done years of research before writing this book and what a read it is
and what a series this is to watch
the bastogne episode was amazing cant believe this is how they done it

The forest set, recreating the Bois Jacques in Bastogne, was built in an airplane hanger using real trees, as well as 250 trees created by the special effects department.
The forest set was backfilled with earth to a depth of five feet
Over a quarter of a million dollars worth of "snow" was used to created these winter scenes.
It took four weeks to dress the forest set, individually dressing every tree and laying snow a foot and a half deep on the ground
