Just read a lot about Christine while looking for a real-life heroine to interact with my fictional spy in my latest novel, Deceptive Intentions. She skied across the mountains from Hungary to get into Poland to do recon. Although some of the stories about her are undoubtedly exaggerated, she certainly experienced more of the spy life than Sir Ian ever did, and some of their pillow-talk ended up as plot points in his novels.
