A truly terrifying beast the Typhoon, for pilots aswell as for the hunted !
Superb photo there Jim, I thought I had them all ! Notice the word "British" can be read, scratched above the exhaust pipes...'wonder what the whole message was.... Here's a scan I did from a while back, the black & white wing markings can be seen clearly here. The aircraft could be easily mistaken for a FW190, so the markings were introduced. For D-Day, of course, all Allied aircraft were to have the same markings.
