Hi to all,

Is this where all the Maltese stuff goes?

Im a UK citizen who was born on a British Naval Base in Malta in 1962. Due to a mix up somewhere along the line, I ended up with dual citizen ship of UK and Malta.

My dad didnt serve in the war, but has never failed to tell me how proud I should be of my Maltese connections, and the bravery of the people on the Island.

Even now, when I think about what they went through, it brings a lump to my throat. I think those of us who have never known war directly, can never fully appreciate what the people of Malta and other countries did.

Did you guys know that most lebanese can understand the maltese language
because its spoken in a language that most levantine arabic people can understand yet its written in english. Very fascinating history.

I visted Malta very briefly last month, and the war museum was closed ! A taxi driver showed me a few sights, and spoke of the pride of the Maltese in holding out for so long. He also spoke very highly of the RAF !
