This is one of the two models of tanks that where being used by the japanese during world war 2.

It was actually a french lite tank called the Renault FT-17, which the japanese started bringing in to their country after the first world war. At the time of arming up the countries tank forces with these, the Japanese wanted to establish both a Light and a Heavy armored tank batallion, but no other european country would sell the japanese any of there new heavy tanks, so the only available option was to go with this french model and its successor, which was the Renault NC-1, or as the Japanese called it, Otsu-Gata Sensha.
