Hope and Glory (1987)

I think this is the movie I was looking for, sounds a lot like it. I can't recall the name so I hope this is it!!!

I saw it on HBO or Showtime a few years ago and thought it was a quirky little tale about a boy growing up with his mother and sister during the bombing of London in WW2. While it was mainly focusing on people's lives after the disaster, the boy was just being a boy and therefore little mishaps occur that make the movie delightful to watch.

If this is what I saw, I recommend it. If this is not the same movie then at least it's a WW2 that might be worth seeing!
