Thread: The Milice

Just reading about the Milice. A paramilitary force created by the german-friendly Vichy govt in France to tackle the resistance.
How could Frenchmen actively hunt out, torture & persecute other Frenchmen? It defies belief. Would the same thing have happened here in Britian if we had been invaded? I sure hope not

You can always rely on people to torture their own kind, just convince them that the people are traitors. Look at the way the IRA terrorised their own community. Sure, they needed a little convincing but after that it was easy.
