Tribute was paid by the Prime Minister in the House or Commons on May 2nd to the skilful dispositions of Major-General Bernard Paget which enabled the British force south of Trondheim to withdraw without loss. General Paget, who was.52, was commissioned in 1910 in the Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry and was awarded the D.S.O and the M.C in the last War. In 1938 he was appointed Commandant of the Staff College, Camberley.
